In this context, it's my personal blog page on what I'm up to and where life is taking me...
In the New Zealand Context, it's a mean Maori feed of Pork (bones n all) in a pot boiled up on a slow heat with various vegetables - one of them namely Puha - or watercress in English. If you haven't tried it, you simply gotta.
"We must be prepared, at any moment, to sacrifice who we are for who we are capable of becoming."
The NZ Referendum on Child Discipline is coming...
Life is short
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love willingly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.
A Word on Disposable Nappies
No matter what you think about using diapers, you can not deny that disposables is a terrible name.
They are NOT disposable.
Sure, you are throwing them away, they are leaving the presence of the child, mother and household. However, they do NOT disappear! Just because you can not see them, they do continue to exist. Infact, they continue to exist for a long time.
I think it's important to remember that every time you use a disposable diaper, you remember that. And every time you use a cloth nappy - with all of the folding, scrubbing, soaking, washing and drying - you are saving that one more spot of the environment.
I imagine a pile of 'disposable diapers' in my backyard everytime I use one of them. That's what we're doing. We're dumping a pile of soiled plastic mess onto our children's play areas.
